WFH - Keeping the Kids Occupied!

Working From Home

It’s not easy with two working parents and two young kids at home all day.

Here is some of what we have done to break things up whilst working on the day job.

Crazy caterpillar racing

Staggered working hours

Online yoga

Tidy room chores

Irregular working hours

Youtube Yoga for the kids

Baking Cupcakes

Bike rides

An activity box for the kids to dive into when they are bored

Shouting at the dog… (my hobby)

Chores for the kids (washed the inside of the car windows - success and failure on that one)

Online maths and spelling

Reading

Online Ukelele lessons

Cut kids hair

Online Italian lesson (with family in the UK)

Planning an online Scots lesson next week

“Sports day” using cushions and a net

Dog Poo chores

Crazy clothes day - let em wear what they want, sillier the better.

Wine helps too, but after hours obviously!

Crazy times call for crazy measures - please let us know what is working for you!

(Well done Ally for coming up with 95% of the above activities!)

Where has 2018 gone?

Spring has sprung and we're busy. I'm enjoying the challenge of a large scale abandonment and Dougal is juggling a few things. With mine site dewatering projects, workovers and of course another ESP optimisation technical study, there's a lot going on.

Looking forward to a change in the weather and some warmer sunny days.

Win some, lose some.

A couple of losses from work that didn't quite come our way have been balanced out nicely by some that did.

We have a new Artificial Lift contract to get stuck into and some more Drilling Engineering came our way as well.  With visits to Appea and WISE thrown in on top of the usual workload, its been a busy few weeks.

Time to get the head down and get some work done before our holiday!

New Year, New Projects

With the start of the new year Dougal and I have been busy looking for new opportunities and projects. With a few contracts issued and a few more in the pipeline we're excited about 2017.

The girls are heading back to daycare and I'm getting excited about using the technical side of my brain again. With some initial wellhead growth calcs performed last month, I'm looking at an offset study now and relishing the challenge of piecing it all together.
